JBJ Events caters to youth volleyball teams ranging from 12U to 18U age divisions. Divisions vary by tournament.

Registration details, including deadlines and procedures, are available through our website jbj-events.com by click the specific event you wish to join or directly searching through AES.com.

Tournament format may vary, but generally consists of 1 to 2 days of pool play followed by playoff rounds on the last day. Teams are grouped into pools based on seeding, and matches are played according to the schedule provided by JBJ-Events.

  • 2-day tournament = 5 matches guaranteed
  • 3-day tournament = 7 matches guaranteed

Tournament schedule will be released by 5pm on the Monday prior to the event. The schedule will be posted on vbschedule.com and sent out via email once posted. 

The wave schedule will be released on the Monday 2 weeks prior to the event.

Players must meet age eligibility criteria as specified by AAU and the tournament rules. Additionally, players are REQUIRED to have and provide proof of AAU membership. This can be done by uploading the players to your roster for the event (look for the green check mark next to their AAU number).

Each registered team includes up to 15 players and 3 coaches. Any changes or additions must comply with AAU and tournament regulations. Any person listed on the roster must have/show AAU verification. 

Roster must be uploaded into AES prior to the tournament (check AES for deadlines).

Each person on the roster must show as AAU verified, meaning they show a green check mark next to their name.

Teams are responsible for bringing their own volleyball gear, including jerseys/uniform, knee pads, appropriate footwear, warm-up balls and ball carts. The tournament venue will provide volleyball courts and game balls.

Yes, matches will be officiated by certified volleyball referees to ensure fair play and adherence to the rules. Referee decisions are final and binding.

Certified R1 – pool play & play offs

R1 and R2 – semifinals and finals 

All pool play matches require a coach to R2, it cannot be a player

Spectators are welcome to attend the tournament to support their teams. All spectators must adhere to JBJ-Events tournament guidelines regarding spectator rules and conduct.

Below is the list of restricted items

  • No outside chairs or seating will be allowed
  • No coolers, except for small coolers containing medications and/or baby care items
  • No outside food or beverage

    Athletes are permitted a water bottle – up to including gallon size

Parking arrangements and fees will be dependent on the venue.

– as long as we are notified of the fee prior to the event start

Yes, availability will vary depending on the venue and time of day.

Tournament results, standings, and updates will be posted on vbschedule.com as well as AES (results). 

All results are reported to the National office by the Tuesday following the conclusion of the event.

Teams can also inquire with the tournament officials at the tournament desk for the latest information during the event.

No outside media teams or film crews will be permitted.

No flash photography

All media requests must be pre-approved by JBJ Events prior to the start of the event.

The tournament organizers will implement COVID-19 safety protocols in accordance with local health guidelines and regulations. This may include mask mandates, social distancing measures, sanitation stations, and other precautions to ensure a safe and healthy tournament environment.

Participants and spectators are expected to adhere to these guidelines for everyone’s safety.

JBJ-Events retains the right to suspend any coach, club, or affiliate of a team who does not uphold any and all rules and regulations put forth by JBJ-Events, the venue, and AAU athletics.
