ABOUT
The AAU First State Showdown is youth volleyball tournament happening May 3-4, 2025, on the Delaware University campus. Open to girls’ 12-18 Premier and 14-18 Open divisions, this event guarantees five matches per team. Stay-and-Save policy in place ensuring exclusive hotel rates. Early Bird Entry = $500 ends 12/3/2024
Entry Fee = $600 starting 1/1/2025

-The lots circled in blue will be available for use throughout the weekend
-The large red Xs are located in places where you should NOT park
(do NOT use lots near tennis courts, on the grass in front of the stadium, or to the left of the stadium)

-Lots 19 and 20 lots circled in blue will be available for use throughout the weekend
-The municipal lots will also be available, but those are paid lots not managed by UD.

STAY-AND-SAVE
This is a Stay-and-Save event. Each team must book 5 rooms per team per night for the duration of the tournament to be confirmed into the event.
Our Stay-and-Save policy is designed to ensure a cohesive and organized event experience for all participants while keeping our entry fees low. We encourage everyone to stay at the host hotel(s) where we have negotiated exclusive discount rates. This policy helps secure the best rates for our attendees and supports the local community’s economy. Compliance with this policy is appreciated to make this event a success for everyone involved.
Please note: Clubs located within a 50-mile radius of the venue are NOT required to book rooms.
However, we prioritize the opportunity for kids to play volleyball over any hotel obligations. If you need a hotel wavier, please contact us directly.
TEAM/COACH CHECK-IN
All teams must check-in Friday May 2, 2025, between 6pm-9pm inside the Bob Carpenter Center.
****Please make sure coaches emails are correct on the roster**
Each coach will receive an individual QR code which will be scanned each time they enter.
All players, coaches, team managers, or anyone else on the official roster must have a current 2024-2025 AAU membership.
**NO EARLY CHECK-IN**
SPECTATORS
$40 – 2 day pass
$20 – 1 day pass
Children under 10 are free
Spectators will now be required to upload a selfie or image of themselves when purchasing a ticket. This photo will appear on the QR code scanner at entry to verify your identity, replacing the traditional wristband. This process is secure and designed to make entry faster and more convenient while enhancing safety.

A link will be sent out to all club directors and coaches (listed on the AES roster) the Monday prior to the tournament.

All results will be posted to AES following the tournament end.
